Summer Specials, fun packed events.
Since the start of the school holidays the AVCP has been providing activities for organisations that do not have regular weekly sessions or are on our waiting list. We have enjoyed the company of the Pegasus play group (summer activities for children with disabilities), Martha Trust has joined us for carriage driving sessions, Eversley House enjoyed horse riding and then a summer pic-nic in the AVCP garden. We have also provided activities for Kids Company, up to 60 children from Lambeth took part in horse riding and carriage driving. We would like to thank our loyal volunteers for stepping up to the mark and making it possible for us to host these events, also the participants young and slightly older who took part with such enthusiasm. As our activities clashed with the riots in London and elsewhere let me pass on some of the comments heard from young people who may well have been taking part if at home. ''I want to stay in this carriage for ever and ever''. On discovering the horse would respond ''look, look, I have control'', ''I never knew I could do this Miss''.
