We are always interested in hearing about fundraising ideas. You will find below our latest fundraising event which is a riding challenge in iceland. Another event is to be organised by Canterbury College hairdressing students who are holding a fundraising hair show. Details coming soon.

Icelandic Riding Challenge!

22nd – 29th August 2010.

Ride to the centre of the Earth.

Adventure on the horse of Vikings.

Saddle up for a trip of a lifetime.

Helps raise funds for the Alkham Valley Community Project.

Pay a registration fee of £230 and raise a minimum level of sponsorship.

Volunteering

We need your help.

Your help is valuable to the AVCP, whether you can help us for a couple of hours or a whole day. We need help in our charity shops and also in the garden of our horticulture project. If you familiar with horses, or would like to help with the riding or driving sessions, then we always welcome help at the stable yard. Our arts and crafts sessions need volunteers so any time you can give is greatly appreciated, our range of activities means that we try to offer a rewarding volunteering experience in a friendly, supportive enviroment.

What volunteering can do for you

As volunteers you can:

• meet new people
• learn new skills, enhancing your CV and improving employability
• enjoy the satisfaction of helping people enjoy an activity they wouldn't otherwise be able to

With some types of credit/debit cards you can donate money to the AVCP via Paypal even if you don't have a Paypal account. All donations are very welcome!
